In case you didn't know today was little Ms. Aubrey's original due date. Pretty hard to believe since it seems like we've known her for so long. I guess she didn't want to share her birthday with her mother. Aubrey was a key participant in the celebration of Rosa's birthday. First off, we ventured outside the house to the mall for a stroller ride and to enjoy some ice cream on a beautiful day. As you can see Aubrey was very attentive to all the excitement around her.
Later in the afternoon Rosa's parents (or are they better described as Aubrey's Grandparents now?) came to babysit while Brian and Rosa went out for the first time since the birth of their daughter. Quiet conversation, a few laughs and appetizers at Maggianos made evening sparkle along with Rosa's birthday present. Brian secured a piece of jewelry that his wife had her eye on for quite some time. The present marked the arrival of Rosa's 29th year as well as thank her for providing such a wonderful home to Aubrey for the preceding 8+ months (look up "push present" on Google if you are interested, beware, could result in domestic discord with your significant other). It was a truly a great day.

Wow, I looked up that push present. Pretty neat. Rosa deserves that and more. Glad that you had a great birthday Rosa. Our wishes for many more wonderful happy years with Brian and Aubrey.
