From Aubrey's perspective I am sure she found this weekend to be a little unusual. First off, Daddy came downstairs with a strange object around his neck. This was certainly Aubrey's first exposure to her father in a tie. Secondly, Mommy disappeared only to return in a black dress and bright red lips. Aubrey definately thought her mother looked very pretty but a little overdressed for watching a football game (afterall they went to Virginia Tech, not UVA). Finally, and probably the most shocking, was that her parents left in the middle of a Hokies football game. That is something Aubrey has never seen before. Mommy and Daddy were off to a wedding leaving their daughter in the loving care of Grandmommy and Grandpa B. Everything went smoothly and I am pretty sure a good time was had by all involved. A sense of order returned on Sunday as we showered our little girl with attention after being away the night before. Aubrey enjoyed the attention including lunch out with t
he family, a trip to Babies-R-Us, a nice long bath and of course some good naps. The best part is that this is a short work week with both sets of Grandparents coming in on Wednesday to celebrate the holiday. Aubrey can't wait to see what this Thanksgiving thing is all about.
