Aubrey certainly has been doing her share of growing up lately. Everything from starting to each grilled cheese sandwiches to trying on her mother's high heel shoes. She certainly enjoys trying her hand at things she sees her parents doing. Also, her vocabulary is increasing by the day. She regularly points at things and calls them by name or makes requests. Some of her favorites are birdie, cat, dog, open, mess, star, bread, clock, trash, hair, hat, etc. She has also started to become much more familiar with the alphabet (coincidentally, D is her favorite letter for "Daddy", I don't make this stuff up). The pace at which she is learning now is quite impressive.
On Saturday Rosa hosted a baby shower for her good friend Roni. It was a huge success and everyone was impressed with how well Rosa planned the event. Aubrey and I camped out upstairs until she eventually went down for her nap. Sunday the weather finally warmed up and we hit the park. For the Super Bowl we decided to take it easy this year and stayed home to watch the game together as a family. Overall, it was a good weekend.
