First and foremost, an apology to Aubrey's faithful blog-viewing community. This is probably the longest duration I've had without an update. We got back from a beach weekend and have been doing our best to get caught up over the past few days. Our time in Nags Head, NC was fantastic. Aubrey really enjoyed both the beach and pool. We were a little leery if she'd like the sand based on our South Carolina trip in March but she seemed to be quite at home (especially piling it on her father).
This trip allowed us to spend time with our close friends and the kids got along great. Samantha, Callie, Aubrey and Jackson all played very well together. They seemed to really enjoy the scenery and opportunity to interact. I really can't describe how great the weekend was... until the drive home. Unfortunately, a majority of Mother's Day was spent in traffic (6+ hours). However, we made the best of it and actually celebrated this past Wednesday by going out to dinner.
